I bought these for my daughter as a gift for her trip to Disney in December. She was counting on these Birks to be as awesome as her Birkenstock sandals. And they are! She is totally happy with the fit, comfort, and looks but was glad that she sized up due to most reviews stating that they ran small. My biggest disappointment as the purchaser was when I received the Birkenstocks in the mail with no original box--just an amazon box! No where on the site did it state that there was no original box. These were a gift to my daughter and I was rather embarrassed to give her these without the original box. It made her feel that they were knock-offs even though they truly are Birkenstocks. I would hope that Amazon would understand that to purchase such a costly pair of shoes, there would be the need to be sure that they were originals and that this was very important to the average customer. I would have still purchased the shoes if I had been told in advance that the box had been destroyed accidentally. She is still very happy and satisfied with these shoes.I wasn't sure this shoe would work after reading all the reviews but thought I would try since Birkenstocks have such good arch support and last forever. However, I did order one size larger than I normally wear in a Birkenstock based on the reviews and that made the difference. If I had my choice I would ask for a slightly higher toe box but this design fits so I am satisfied.These shoes were very nice looking and well made and I was really hoping they would fit. I normally wear a size 41 narrow in the sandals, so went a size up to 42 regular which is the largest size they make in women's shoes I believe, but they were very narrow and tight. So unfortunately I had to return them.I love the look and the feel of them. I think once I wear them for a while they'll be even better. I bought brown ones also very disappointed in the look the sole is the wrong color they were suppose to be tan.Very well made. Super comfortable yet durable with thick leather and heavy stitching. You can feel the quality when you pick them up. I wear a US sized 7 and bought these in EU 39. I believe 39 is marked as US size 8, so definitely buy 1 size UP from your normal size. They fit perfectly sized up a full extra size.I wear a lot of Birkenstocks - sandals, clogs - and have for 25+ years. I have been looking for a closed toe, closed heel shoe to wear to work. I ordered in a size larger than my favorite Birk sandals, as I need a roomy toe box. These arrived and the toe box was not high or wide enough. Still convinced they were a good buy, and being my daughter's size, I brought them to her. The toe box was too small and the arch hit her in the wrong place. Similar arch result with another Birkenstock wearer at work who wanted to try them. Now I realize I am unable to return them as I exceeded the 30 days, and the fit of this shoe is wrong for me and for others. The color and the look is nice.I love Birkenstock sandals and when I first saw these shoes I knew that I needed to own them. Having read the reviews posted here, I went up a size from my normal Birkenstock size and they were perfect. I wear these shoes practically every day and they are the most comfortable shoes that I've ever had. They did take a few days to break in, but they are absolutely worth those few days.These are my “go to” work shoes. They’re a comfortable classi!Very comfortable. Have had good luck with Birkenstocks- this is not my first pair. I highly recommend these shoes.
