I have somewhat narrow feet but my biggest issue with finding shoes (and sandals in particular) is that my feet are slim. I just learned the term "slim" from a saleswoman at The Walking Store, lol. I always called them low profile for lack of a better term. They are skinny on top where the tiny bones coming down from the toes are visible and you look at my foot from the side and the distance from the floor to the top of my foot is very small, as in "low profile". I always have to buy sandals either in narrow or with adjustability and I almost always have to put some type of foam or gel pad under the ball of my foot and sometimes full length anyway. This pair however, needs nothing! The footbed is narrow so they don't look clunky from the front as most sandals do on me, the criss crossing straps over the foot with the added secure feeling of the toe ring aren't tight but they don't stand up from my foot the way most do, coupled with the adjustable strap over my instep make this pair feel completely secure on my feet! The footbed isn't as soft as I imagined after reading countless reviews as to the comfort of Naot's but from my research it appears that the cork will mold to my footprint at some point and then they will truly feel like they were made just for me. The only other small drawback is that the instep strap did irritate/cut into my skin a bit after wearing them (shopping for a few hours, out to dinner and 2 hours driving). I'm not sure if the strap rubbed my skin a little when I walked (the skin on my feet is very sensitive like baby skin) or maybe they swelled a bit after salty restaurant food & just being on them a lot. Next time I wear them if the strap starts to be uncomfortable, I'll try loosening it like I should have done last time...my mistake. Anyway, to make a long story even longer....ahem.....I would definitely recommend these to anyone with a narrow or a medium foot, but not bordering on a wide foot or one who has a puffy "high profile" foot. They look a little dressy with the subtle, not tacky, glow from the rhinestones so they are a good choice for wearing with stylish clothes for going out and about or to work in an office setting and looking well put together without sacrificing comfort at all. In my opinion, they're versatile enough to be worn casually with a pool cover up or shorts. These will make perfect vacation shoes for a cruise or anywhere else you go when you need to limit the number of shoes you pack. These are comfortable but not as comfortable as a pair of Naots I got about 10 years ago. The upper is a little stiff but I think it will soften. The sparkles are pretty and I've gotten several compliments on these shoes. This shoe is another one that exemplifies what Naot is about - comfort and style. The shoe dresses up an outfit but keeps the foot in a comfort zone, too. The straps are situated where you cannot really tell that the shoe has a toe ring. An added plus is the adjustable strap across the arch of the foot.I love NAOT sandals. I have several pair. I really liked this style but it ran short. I returned it and purchased a different style.I was disappointed. This is a very cute sandal. They are attractive and fit well, but unlike the other types of Naot shoes I have I cannot use them all day long without back pain. I think the cork makes a difference, but not in a good way for me.I wear a size 37 (size 6) in Naot but when American sizes are only available, I order a 38 (size 7). These seem to be a new style and I love them--very stylish and comfortable and I'll wear them to work. Definitely 2 thumbs up!I also decided to order them in grey--they are the best Naot's I've had in awhile.I hope to purchase more of this brand . I can walk all day and my feet and knees feel fine . This color goes with all of my summer wardrobe . I have to make myself wear something els .Beautiful sandal. Fits perfectly. Very comfortable. Unfortunately, the decorative silver beads are coming off on one shoe. Very disappointed to return these.
