They ran large for me. And, the top of tge lacing edge on the inside side of each shoe dug into the joint of my ankle. Rolling those points to soften them helped a lot and after a week or so I no longer noticed it. However, it was painful at first.I really like this shoe. I ordered because it is an Apex Legends style.I was hoping that I would get the old insoles that I have loved and been able to walk in.NO unfortunately the new crappy foam rubber insoles are in this shoe. I called the company and they do not make them anymore.Very disappointed. So much so, and no support all pain that I contacted an orthotics clinic and am having custom insoles made.I have a left dropped foot and amputated toes (2)....I do however like the actual shoes.I hope this helps you make a decision.No thanksWhen I opened these shoes, I was surprised to see APEX emblazoned across the side of the heel and the top of the tongue, unlike my other Aetrex shoes. I thought I had made a mistake in ordering, but wore them several times anyway. On checking my order, I see that the shoes I got are the same color and decoration, but not the same shoe as the picture. These are supposed to be Aetrex Boss Runners, not some random APEX style.And they don't fit like my other Aetrex shoes - just not quite as comfortable, a little wider in the forefoot and a little heavier. They are OK, but not what I wanted. It's my own fault for not sending them right back. So I suggest you check carefully before you order and before you wear what you get to be sure it is what you expected.I bought 2 pairs of these shoes! I already had one pair that was a prescription pair. I love them. I found them on Amazon and the price was incredible, so I bought 2 more Now I have in the house shoes, going to town shoes and out in the yard shoes. They are perfect for my foot. They have a wide toe box and a very stable base.I have had to purchase shoes a half size larger then I would normally wear for the past year. It is hard to find shoes that fit with Orthotics. After reading the reviews I ordered these in my normal size and still had to return them because they were too large. So I bought a half size smaller and they fit great. I have Metatarsalagia and was hoping to be able to adjust the orthotic insole that comes in the shoe. I haven't had the chance to wear them much yet as the weather has still been cold and these shoes are definitly made for summer use.(which is good when it's hot out) I haven't had a lot of pain when I wear them just as they are, but will add to this review after I have had a chance to adjust the orthotic and wear them moreI wear orthotic inserts and these shoes allow the required space to get the inserts in the shoes. Most shoes do not work out because they do not allow enough space for inserts, even when they say they do. I've been wearing these shoes for a couple of years and they work very well for me. I am flat footed, have plantar fasciitis, and overpronate.Good fit. Long lasting. Great walking shoe.
